A wind turbine works the opposite of a fan. Instead of using electricity to make wind, like a fan, wind turbines use wind to make electricity. The wind turns the blades, which spin a shaft, which connects to a generator and makes electricity.

Each turbine is fitted with an advanced RIU (Remote Interface Unit) and a 4G SIM card router. Machine and component readings are taken every second and accumulated and relayed back to the monitoring centre every minute. Turbines are continuously reacting to changing conditions to maximise energy production and minimise machine wear and exposure during extreme weather conditions.

The monitoring centre operates 24 x 7 – 365 days a year and will oversee the operation. You can remotely tune turbine settings, upload software fixes, and stop or start turbines should conditions require.

Turbine owners have access to a user friendly web based Client Interface to provide them with real time updates on wind speed, wind direction, turbine performance and buttons to stop, start or reset the turbine
